Review on ๐ŸŒถ๏ธ Kyocera Advanced Ceramics Adjustable Spice Mill with Ceramic Grinder, The Everything Mill - Bright Black by Dmitriy Kingsley

Revainrating 2 out of 5

It is a mill for (almost) nothing, not a mill for everything.

If you're thinking of buying a dried spice grinder, don't. All the reviews describing endless spinning with very little result are absolutely right. If you want the best manual coffee grinder, get a decent mortar and pestle. When I bought this I envisioned using it to grind curry spices, so I added a mixture of cumin, coriander, fenugreek, and black pepper together in the chamber and started grinding. And grind. And grind. Eventually I gave up and cleaned out my cheap electric knife sharpener and used this instead. I then bought a second electric coffee grinder to use only for spices. However, the Kyocera grinder is so nice that I wanted to find SOMETHING that could grind it with reasonable efficiency. Eventually I gave up grinding Himalayan pink salt because it's fine and the salt doesn't corrode the ceramic grinding elements.
