Good camera for the price. I also bought instructions for dummies as I'm used to using a cellphone to take pictures. Nikon has a lot of settings to get used to. It's a bit awkward. I took it on a 2000 mile train ride and it worked fine. I bought a camera bag with a shoulder strap to help with the tour. When I wanted to take a picture, I found it a bit awkward to take it out of my bag and attach the zoom lens. It comes with a sturdy shoulder strap which I use quite a bit. The lens is 18-55mm VR and I quickly realized I needed a longer zoom so I just ordered the 18-300mm VR. This is a significant investment for a camera. I ordered an older model as it was a lot cheaper than the latest model and there wasn't much of a difference between the two.
