I have to say I was a bit disappointed that I had to buy this device to connect another outdoor device (Eve Aqua) to my home hub (Apple TV). At first I didn't know what was going on and turned to Eve for technical support. To be honest their answer wasn't very helpful and they didn't try to understand the cause of my problems or offer any solutions but assumed that wasn't the case. Also, after a few emails, they never let me know that I needed an extension cable to successfully connect my Bluetooth Aqua to my Apple TV. I was also nervous about spending money on an item that seemed to have a lot of mixed reviews, but I took a chance and got it anyway. In fact, setting it up wasn't as easy as it used to be. hoped. Numerous attempts to add a device to my account have failed; since it appeared that the time it took to connect was longer than the device was programmed to stay on. Finally, after about half a dozen tries, I tried something else and initiated pairing by pressing the reset button while the device was connected. It magically connected, although it took a while for the device to add to my account. It seems that the device is working fine so far and I can now access Aqua remotely. Of course it would be nice if they built this into the Eve Aqua so you don't have to buy an entirely different device to get it working. But I'm glad my system is working now, and if you're already using Eve and need to extend your Bluetooth range, here's what to do. In general, I like Evas and will probably stay with them.
