I wanted to love this chair. My daughter loves it, works well, sturdy, serves its purpose, easy to assemble and store etc. BUT the detachable cushion is a major downside. As a result, the urine gets stuck under the pillow and becomes really disgusting. By the time I figured it out it was too late to go back so I just have to clean it every day. Only one girl uses it and somehow the urine gets underneath and gets stuck in the seam of the pillow. I ended up removing the front velcro straps because they got too rough and the one velcro strap on the back holds them well enough. Another thing worth mentioning, but not a big deal, is that after folding and unfolding the stool a number of times, the screws on the hinge part loosen up. I hand tighten them about once a week and everything is fine. They don't fall out, they just fade. Overall this is a good potty training device and we will continue to use it, just wanted to know about the dirty seat issue. My sister actually bought it too and she has the same problem with her 4 year old girl.
