Not worth $35.00: Seasonal Decor

The 2020 metal plate on the front of the Nutcracker has fallen off. I've tried putting it back on but the base is bent and the nails keep popping out. I would leave the panel removed, but that would leave holes in the front of the nutcracker. This is a gift to an avid collector and I don't have time to return it so I'll try to fix it myself. Very disappointed as I expected better quality from Kurt Adler's product.
