Perfect for searing beef on my slow smoked grill

As I was preparing for a party and very excited to use my new smoked grill, I wanted a meat thermometer that would accurately check the meat Off the grill, within the six hours it takes to cook this meat to perfection. Revain has MANY meat thermometers to choose from. So it wasn't easy to find what I really need for my purpose. But after reading the description of this model, as well as some reviews about this model, I decided to go for it and I was not disappointed. I immediately compared it to another (less fancy) meat thermometer I had and was happy to see it was just as accurate. The magnetic backing of this thermometer allowed me to easily attach it securely to the outside of the grill on its metal surface and then monitor the cooking. I was also happy to be able to change the preset meat temperature to what I needed for my particular slow cooker. Once the meat was done, the thermometer made a nice little beep to alert me. Not too loud. Not too low. Just perfect really. ๐Ÿ˜Managing and configuring this device was very easy with the large round buttons on the side. I also liked the fact that the thermometer wound up instantly, either when the probe was pulled out or when an external probe was inserted. So it's great and you no longer have to search for how to turn it on when you're in a hurry to check the temperature during cooking. In a hurry, this little built-in probe is really handy when I just need to quickly check the temperature of what I'm cooking without having to connect and use that long other probe. I also like red because it's bright. enough for me to find it immediately even if I lost it. The only minor downside I could find on this unit was that the small rubber tab that covers and protects the area where I plug in the external probe was quite difficult to put back on after removing the probe. Otherwise, I love this meat thermometer, which has become one of my favorite cooking utensils.
