Doesn't work with seat attached

My daughter loves her Christmas gift although we were greatly disappointed when it simply wouldn't work with the seat attachment. Only one of the balancing mechanism activates and so it beeps and beeps and shuts down. There are a lot of less expensive hoverboards without the seat that you could purchase. Not sure if it's just a one off or all of these are the same but I would suggest just buying a stand alone hoverboard over this one with the seat. We put the seat on my son's hoverboard and it works fine but on this purple one it makes the board malfunction.
