The ball itself is made in China and I think it's average or low quality (and does it contain a carcinogenic chemical?) but it is probably will last several years at home with a user hitting it for a few hours a day. It's not bad at all in my garage (an old perpetual water bag at the bottom and a screw eyelet 8ft up in the beam) and I've added a piece of rope to the bottom segment to protect my foot from impact and everything seems to be working fine. This device is not of professional quality; It's a bit cheap and not leather. This is decent quality; It does not cause discomfort when punching without gloves, has good mobility when punching with 8-ounce combat gloves, as well as 16-ounce boxer shorts. This is a regular home use product and was not expensive.
