This is an impressive jacket that has many of the characteristics of a quality adult jacket. - Front and inner chest pockets with zips. - The hood is attached / put on. - Thin inner wrist lining with thumb hole. This liner is made of water-repellent polyester. This helps retain warmth but can make it a bit bulky to put on and take off, especially when wet. The elastic band can tighten the waist area. The layering on the bottom allows it to be used for very low temperatures. The color "black" is somewhat poorly visible due to the lack of reflectors and is predominantly black. I would recommend going red or blue for better visibility. The average size should be suitable for around 9-12 year olds. GENERAL Very good cold weather jacket with many high quality features. I recommend red or blue for clarity. The only things I wish for are reflectors and a more appealing color scheme.
