We have tried many feed toys. It's very basic, but I usually save it for special occasions when I want my birds to fend for themselves while I'm entertaining or doing something else. I've found ways to make this toy a little more difficult and require a little more physical effort from your bird. First, hang it in a place where the bird cannot reach the cups from any perch. I like to hang it on the bottom of the spiral swing. Therefore, the bird has to climb, hang and balance to reach the cups. Second, I mix treats into the cups with little foot toys. Maybe there's a peanut at the bottom of the cup and a plastic dinosaur at the top. The bird can choose to munch on the dinosaur before returning for the peanuts. Also, the whole thing can be taken apart, so I threaded extra beads over the cups and attached the toys to the hooks underneath. This toy has been in our rotation for a while and has gone through many reincarnations! We have medium sized parrots.
