The rope is not tied.

I have bought this scratching post before and the last one was a bit taller. Unfortunately, the stand itself is smaller in diameter, making it easy for cats to topple the tower by scratching it. This happened every time they used it, so I replaced it with another, more durable model. The previous model had no rollover. However, the problem is that the rope/cord is easily pulled off and unraveled. This is good value for money, but a lower price means a lower quality for this item.
