After doing LOTS of research I decided to spend a little more on this set of GENUINE KAM Snaps and KAM Pliers. I will be making reusable pads and diapers, so I needed quality fasteners (and installation tools). After spending so much on materials I did NOT need the hassle of lower quality buttons that didn't install properly and would ruin the fabric if I tried to remove them. THESE ARE GENUINE KAM clasps (embossed with "KAM" on the clasps). And pliers are also brand KAM. Different sizes of black plastic snaps are marked around the edges (tiny but they're there) so you know what size they're for. Nice choice of fixing colors in the organizer box. The only complaint is that one of the two snaps that hold the toolbox closed was broken when I received the package, even though it was bubble wrapped. The tool box still closes, but one corner is slightly broken and the fold latch (near that corner) is broken. Organizer bin is ok, no damage. I think I can move the tools to another similar container. (I probably have the same ones at home.) But in terms of rigging and tools I can say they are all of good quality and well worth the investment. Comes with an easy-to-follow instruction manual (in the box with the fasteners) that includes illustrations and text explaining each step to successfully install the fasteners. I'm glad I spent the extra money! I've read a number of reviews (about the "less expensive" latch kits) and seen SO MANY reviews that said the cheaper kits had cheaper snaps that were poorly made and wouldn't attach. (close) properly and were difficult to remove without damaging the fabric etc. Also, many reviews of other cheaper plastic latch kits have noted that the latch does not have the correct number of caps and pins/pins to actually make the full snapshot -Records declared for inclusion. So. All of this led to my decision to purchase this particular set of latches and tools. I wish it was packaged in a way that didn't crack/break the plastic of the tool box. But it won't affect my projects in the long run. I still give this 5 stars for quality fasteners and tooling which is why I bought it.
