saw and ordered this after reading the reviews as I knew the faucets needed teflon tape to keep them from leaking, no big thing. but little did I know that no matter how much tape I used or how carefully I tightened the fittings, the leaks couldn't be stopped. so of course i assumed i got a defective product and i ordered a replacement. but this time I didn't risk it - 5 wraps of Teflon tape, PLUS a mild pipe thread sealant that I gave a full 24 hours to fully cure before even attempting to run water through this filter. Result ? MORE LEAK. The threads on this piece of junk are so poorly made that it will leak no matter what you try. It may not leak immediately, but you will eventually encounter water damage wherever you install it. The $20 you save due to the low price of this filter will cost you 1000x more than fixing it later don't do it.
