Review on Continental PremiumContact 6 225/55 R17 97 year old by Michal Kucharski ᠌

Revainrating 5 out of 5

The purchase brought only positive emotions.

185.652022 Initial reactions have been entirely favorable, though not overly exuberant. My grandfather put only 35 tons of weight on those ancient E391 Bridgestones, which turned out to be 10 years old (I bought a used automobile that came with a winter and summer kit). I am sorry to report that they are still alive and able to drive, but they are no longer. They are on the second car, Dunlop sportmax 185,55,16, and they appear to be just as pricey as the first set. Of course, the size is different, and they are more resilient, but the handling is still quite good. We traveled the 370 kilometers between cities by car, all on continental roads. I rode it and had a good time since it was really comfortable, gave me confidence, was very quiet, reached speeds of up to 150 kilometers per hour, and had totally clear control, including braking and acceleration. On a track that is dry, it has a slight advantage, but it is predictable, and the driver does not lose control of the vehicle. The outcome probably rests more on the driver than it does on the tires, and there are probably no questions about the tires.

Pros
  • Fairly silent, relatively soft rather than hard, excellent grip on the road, and confident turning.
Cons
  • Most likely not at all. When compared with other tires, such as the Nokian green 2, which costs 3500, it is evident that paying an additional 700 for this tire is not a waste of money and is even acceptable. The price of a tire in April 2022 is 4200, which may seem pricey.
