When I received this product I washed it down and let it dry a couple times with RO water, after putting it in my aquarium I lost 3 perfectly healthy fish over a 2 day period, all were fish that decided to inhabit the decoration, so immediately thought to remove it, upon removing it I noticed a strong chemical smell coming from it, almost a burnt/melting wire smell which was quite odd, while getting it out I also noticed my water smelled the same as this item, which definitely did not smell like this before, I feel this item is not aquarium safe at all and was leeching chemicals into my water and killing the fish that went in it, the fish that live on the bottom and avoided this item are all fine, I would avoid putting this item in your tank, or do so with caution.
