The block itself is fine. The connection point is not as stable as only 1/2 to 1 inch of the laptop's surface rests on the port replicator. If you use a laptop keyboard instead of an external keyboard, you can disconnect it from the port replicator. You can use DVI or VGA connectors on this port replicator. is for my laptop. It provides a tether lock hole, but to allow docking and undocking of the laptop (pressing the trigger), you must install a single-plane tether lock in the unlocked position. The closed position does not allow for easy docking or undocking. The seller put together a nice package with a new 130w power adapter and the unit looks brand new but the box looks like it was there. You will also need a plastic spacer. for some Dell models to fit properly (see model/manufacturer information).
