This is the first and only safe no shock collar that has worked for our Miniature Poodle. He doesn't whine, feels no pain, no lemon spray, just the slightest vibration, which he finds uncomfortable. But there was no pain or discomfort. When it's turned on, it won't start barking like it used to. Makes life so much better for all of us. He seems fine. I would recommend and buy again. We also ordered another one for our standard poodle. He is actually the instigator and then looks innocent. lol With five dogs it can be unbearable when everyone starts barking at the same time, like when our postman insists on closing the mailbox. Now we have three collars of this brand. Others might be prettier with pink girly covers, but they're not as good. Note: This collar is not a shock collar. This will emit three reminder tones. The third tone is longer. If the dog continues to bark, the collar will buzz briefly and then begin to vibrate. Nothing more. Just like you take your finger and quickly tap the dog to say no. We say no when we hear 3 bears and then a buzz. This collar is not shocking, painful or harmful.
