I don't know What happened to my TV? My TV has been plugged directly into my wall for over a year with no issues. I used this surge protector and after two weeks my TV stopped working. It turns on, but the picture is very distorted. The picture had lines running through her and she is all white, gray and black. It almost looks like something exploded. I believe this item caused an electrical surge and blew up my TV. Take that as a warning. DO NOT USE THIS DEVICE to WATCH TV. Maybe better with smaller devices. Now I'm stuck buying a new TV and next time I'll buy a branded surge protector.
