I purchased these for my 1st grader to use in our nature walks as part of our home school science curriculum. These are great binoculars for an introduction to birding, and have surprisingly good optics for the price. They are almost as good as my much more expensive binoculars, and are definitely more lightweight and comfortable to wear on walks. I actually ordered another pair for myself and one for my toddler to use too. They also come in multiple fun colors, which is a bonus for kids (and eliminates potential conflicts over whose pair is whose). The two cases and cleaning cloth that were included were a nice bonus as well. I would definitely purchase these again and recommend them to anyone needing an inexpensive but decent pair of binoculars! We've only had them a couple of weeks, so I can't comment on their durability over time, but I'm very satisfied so far. Thanks!
