Surprisingly solid good value projector

I bought this little projector with the intention of using it for outdoor movie nights this summer. It's still too cold for that here in Wisconsin, so I decided to test it first on my screen at home, where I already have a permanent projector setup. This projector comes with power and an HDMI cable, a lens cap and a small tripod. , red/white/yellow AV input adapter, carrying case and remote control. The remote control is powered by 2 AAA batteries, which are not included. For the test, I used a Google Chromecast connected to HDMI and projected an image onto a 120-inch screen from about 12 feet away. The first thing I noticed was that the projector took the picture almost directly. straight, meaning it should be closer to the center of the screen for the best picture. you may need to manually adjust the keystone distortion using the slider on the side of the projector to avoid keystone distortion in your image. The screen gets pretty blurry even when the center is sharp. So keep in mind that you'll probably want to use it on a real camera tripod to give it some height so it's pointing straight at the center of your screen instead of being tilted. The image is a 720p image which is technically HD and looks pretty good! When the projector is focused you can see some pixels up close at 120 inches, but step back and they look pretty sharp. The colors aren't very vivid, but you can make some adjustments to the settings to make them better. I have included some photos with this review showing the image up close on a 120 inch screen. The projector has keystone correction and focus, but doesn't zoom in, so you're resizing an image after it's been removed from the screen. The built-in speaker sounds similar to what you get from your tablet or laptop. It's good, but not great. I'd suggest hooking up some sort of portable speaker if you can. So after sitting on the projector and watching a video with audio from my portable speaker I am very impressed with the projector, how small and inexpensive it is and I look forward to putting it outside for movie nights. I wouldn't want to use it as a permanent home theater projector, but as a fun item for occasional use or a great option for a baby's sleepover or whatever, it definitely serves the purpose. Just remember that it takes a bit of fiddling to align and focus the image.
