Review on ๐Ÿ“ฑ SCOSCHE IUHDR DashDock: Enhanced Suction Cup Mount for Phone Holders by Chase Arellano

Won't stay in place: Stand

With a suction cup and the addition of stickGRIP, you'd think this mount would stick securely to your windshield. It is not. I don't like gluing things to the dash or mounting electronics anywhere that blocks my field of vision, so I tried to find a mount in the lower left corner of the windshield. I had to try several places where there was still room to plug in the charging cable for my iPhone. When you stick the device on the surface for the first time, it is firmly attached. In fact, it's so tight that it's very difficult to remove and realign. However, after about 10 minutes, the block falls off completely. If you're lucky, you'll hear it from the windshield, allowing you to catch your phone before it hits your kneecap. Of course, making a sudden move to catch it may cause you to swerve into a tree or into oncoming traffic. The stickGRIP material holds your device well in the stand but ensures that everything falls off the windshield in one piece. , increasing the weight of the object falling on your knee. You say fix it on the dash? If the block doesn't stick to the glass, there's no hope of it sticking to the leather dashboard, especially if it's heated in the sun. I've also noticed that the two pillars sticking out perpendicular to the back of the device are blocking the iPhone 5's audio jack. I shook it well but will get it back as soon as possible. I'm running out of kneecaps.

Pros
  • Stand
