Updated handle with classic design

I remember the 'classic' vegetable peelers my mum and grandmother used to have in the kitchen. There's a bit of nostalgia for the tick-and-slide sound the blade made as it twisted in the guitar-shaped hilt, severing ribbons from a potato or apple. There was elegance in its simplicity, and it didn't take me long to learn how to peel the skin without dirtying the blade. I grew up, started collecting my own kitchen stuff and found what suits me. I've used a variety of scrubs for many years, but haven't found one that I'm completely satisfied with. Two-point peelers often seemed to get dirty, and slingshot knives tended to have shorter blades or protruding cores that didn't work with large-diameter fruits and vegetables. Exfoliating sticks I've been using for several years and my mind went back to those childhood memories of the kitchen. I discovered that the Linden cleaner "Jonas" was a ubiquitous tool long ago and decided to try the updated handle. I won't say that this purifier made me a world famous entremetire. However, it works very well and has reduced the time I spend preparing. The blade rarely gets dirty, the tip gets dirty or bruised easily, it can work with larger diameter fruits and vegetables, and the contoured handle is more comfortable on the hand when working with tougher hides.

Pros
  • Comfortable
Cons
  • Generally OK, but...
