I bought this to fix my air conditioner. My drain line was plugged and backed up in every house. A moment with that vacuum and it sucked the duct and my air conditioner started working again! The filter is optional. And you can use it wet or dry as long as you make sure it is dry when you use it dry. Also, I didn't know it had a kick function. That's cool. I don't need it, but it's nice to know it's an option. It was really easy to clean too. The canister was very light.
