Goes well with my dwarf hamster

I bought this for my one year old Watson dwarf hamster. I have a Kaytee cage but I doubt the hose will connect to other brand cages. I also used this to connect the cage to the plastic bin just to give Watson more room to work. I just cut a hole in the trash can and it works damn well. My hamster loves it but I would be wary if it was a Syrian hamster because it only fits as a dwarf (see pic).
