I ordered this Impecca 7 inch Swivel Screen Portable DVD player to use on long trips with our toddler. I plugged the DVD player in to charge it for about 2 hours before powering it on. As soon as I turned it on the screen showed the "Impecca" background and in the upper left hand corner, it said "open" even though I did not have the DVD compartment open. I opened it and closed it making sure it was securely closed and it still did not work. I powered it off and back on, opened it and closed it several more times and it still didn't work. When reading the instructions for replacing the remote control batteries, it said to replace with "two standard AAA batteries". The battery in the remote is like a watch battery (see photos). The ac adapter and the car charger cords are short - only 4 ft long.I am returning this DVD player for a refund and do not plan to purchase this product again.
