I used them to replace crappy bushings on a John Deere 100 series steering shaft I accidentally ordered too big but added welding material on the pillar where they drive to balance it. To attach it, I had to weld special mounting brackets to the base plate. The top just had to be drilled. The best way to securely tighten the steering column. No more sloppy, worn bushings.
