The instructions say that for some cars you need to create six folders where you can add up to 100 songs. This mimics a CD changer working with the 'brains' of the stock head unit. It continues the song/track perfectly except in very cold weather below 5 degrees, so it's perfect for audio book/podcast use. In addition, if you copy your files using a Mac, you must enable hidden files (Google) and remove all folders created by the file system and other junk, otherwise this device will start playing the songs you moved to the trash. When you first connect the USB memory device, it takes 1-2 minutes to scan the folders, but after that, playback starts immediately even if you change the contents of the folders. All in all it was worth every penny. No more dangling cords to my phone and no more hissing from using the analogue AUX input.
