Absolutely the best!

Secure is the best denture cream that keeps my bottom plate in place all day. I have tried every adhesive available and Secure works so well that I sometimes find it difficult to remove at night. I can eat lunch and dinner with my plate and never have a problem with my plate falling out while eating. A few tricks I learned: You have to follow the directions exactly or you'll end up with a sticky mess that looks like Fixodent and Polygrip. It says wait 15 minutes after fitting a prosthesis before eating or drinking - I found that to be the minimum time. I've found that the best results are achieved if I wait 30 minutes when the glue has had time to really set. Make sure the prosthesis is completely dry. If I'm in a hurry, I use the blow dryer for a few seconds to make sure it's dry. After applying the glue to the prosthesis, I take a washcloth and wipe my gums just before fitting. Once the cap is on you will need to squeeze the tube and "stir" the glue as I think it tends to separate after application. used several times. I found that out when I realized I had a fantastic hold with the new tube, but the glue from the old tubes didn't hold either. Since I started crushing the old tubes before use I haven't had any more problems and the glue works just as well with a new tube. To remove them after they've been there all day, take some hot water, hold it in your mouth until you can spit it out, and then start loosening the prosthesis. You may have to use the hot water trick a few times to get it completely free. Even if you remove the prosthesis, not all of the adhesive may come off - don't worry, just soak the plate in water overnight and the remaining adhesive will come off immediately the next morning. It may seem like a lot of work, but once you get the hang of a really secure hold, you won't mind the extra steps because it's worth every ounce of effort you put in when you're holding your plate firmly in your mouth.
