Great thing! I've tried everything for my daughter's fine blonde hair. I always ended up pulling the knots out of her hair strand by strand, otherwise she would have cried from the pain. This brush is gentle, but it detangles knots! At first I didn't think it would work because there were knots left after the first few passes. But I kept going because my daughter wasn't holding her hair and was crying. It takes patience, but eventually all knots will unravel. I liked it so much that I ordered it. I haven't changed a brush in 10 years, when I find one I like I use it until the handle breaks or it becomes unusable for other reasons. I have thick, curly, dark hair of varying textures (thin and wavy on top, coarse and curly on the bottom). This is my next new brush and only my third brush in over 20 years.
