Review on 🎧 Enhance Your Audio Experience with Ortofon Omega 1e Moving Magnet Cartridge by Josh Koa

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Outstanding

Arrived today and installed in seconds. I replaced an old cartridge in my Dual CS607. It took some time to get the downforce and anti-skating right (the Dual CD607 isn't your average turntable, it's quite difficult to set up and even after so many years of use I still have to refer to the owner's manual). It is connected to an ONKYO TX 37. Receiver/Amplifier 2x50WI I won't talk about things I can't hear and other weird things I've read about in other reviews. Here's my take on this pickup: Dynamics: Oh my god, compared to my old Technics with a Shure pickup, this thing is unbeatable. I heard Beethoven's 9th full of dynamic extremes, whether at low or high volumes, everything sounded exceptional with no distortion or boominess at low volumes. Low frequencies are nicely rounded and just float out of the speakers. Treble is crisp, and the treble setting had to be lowered a few notches. It dampens the annoying mids (750-1100 Hz) well and I think that is an added bonus that cannot be overlooked. I like what I hear and I think my old Technics will be getting one of these soon. Price: Unbeatable for this type of cartridge. Treble is crisp, and the treble setting had to be lowered a few notches.
