This is a great addition to our TV. It is very easy to install, configure and use. The LED strip is on a 16.5 foot spool. There's a shell and a girder that's really strong. Just clean the surface before attaching it to your TV. You can make notches at the marked points on the strip and attach corner connectors for clean corners. After sticking on the back of the TV, plug in the controller/adapter and then the power adapter. There is a small cable with an infrared receiver on the controller/adapter. Be sure to hang it somewhere so that it can easily receive the remote control signal. I hung mine right under the TV and the remote can see it. Use the remote to turn on the light and you then have many settings/colors to set the strip to. There are also presets for what I call light shows. Flash, Strobe, Fade and Smooth. They change colors with different effects. You can choose a color by just clicking on it, and then there's red, green, blue, and white. You can also darken or lighten. This is great for a new viewing experience and is best for nighttime viewing. I have a problem with this strip. That said, the colors are not accurate. Yellow is very greenish, white is very bluish, orange is yellow-green, and so on. So if you are looking for a warm color, you must go for a red/orange to achieve a warm glow. I like the smooth effect when I watch TV. All in all, the improved viewing experience is worth it. 5 stars for great TV evenings.
