Let me start by saying that while this kit isn't perfect, it comes pretty darn close and is an inexpensive way to make your switch look amazing. Below I will list the pros and cons and areas that I think could improve this product. I will also attach photos for reference. Positive aspects: 1. The quality of the buttons. As far as I can tell, the buttons are perfectly shaped, fit perfectly, and mimic standard buttons perfectly. Use a nail file to trim off any pieces of plastic that are protruding after the piece is removed from the mold.2. Appearance - looks great! The color I chose looks exactly as I expected. After showing it to a friend, he was very impressed and thought it looked really good.3. Value โ A cheap and affordable way to set up a switch. Cheaper and easier than shell replacement. Disadvantages / possible improvements: 1. Not all buttons are activated. The set includes most of the buttons but lacks the plus, minus, screenshot and home buttons. While I could forgive the exclusion of the home and screenshot buttons, I was very disappointed in the lack of plus and minus buttons. It would be great if the joycons looked completely in unison.2. No button outlines - although the buttons have labels that indicate what the button is, the letters are the same color as the button, making them very difficult to see. While this isn't a problem for us avid Switch users, it can get a little confusing when I'm playing with non-Switch friends and say "quickly, press (button name)" while they're looking at the controller. to see where the button is and you'll have to squint to find it. In future versions it would be great to see if the main buttons still have circled letters.3. Paint wiping concerns. These keys have a matte finish than the standard keys, which can be a bit slippery at times. This can be good or bad depending on personal preference, but it doesn't bother me. However, I am concerned that due to the lack of a clear coat on the buttons, the color may wear off over time with prolonged use. Of course, I've just received them, so it's not a problem yet, but I can foresee that the problem will arise in the future.4. Missing tool set. While they do include the screwdrivers you'll need if you're replacing this knob, I recommend having a few prying tools and a good pair of tweezers handy. It would have been nice to have them in the kit but luckily I had one and it made installation a lot easier. Verdict: Despite some minor flaws, this is still a great upgrade for your Switch. If the seller decides to take advantage of one or more of the above offerings in the future, I think this will be one hell of a product.
