As for the price and the number of needles in the kit, I had my doubts. This was due to the presence of a pair of Takumi needles that cost more than this huge set. They arrived quickly and well packaged. The size of each needle is engraved on the top to avoid staining. Bamboo is smooth enough to be used like this, but I brought 0000 sandpaper just in case and rubbed with a microfiber cloth with a little mineral oil for smoothness. The tips aren't as narrow as Takumi's, but they work great. I am planning to order a set for my best friend soon. Why 4 stars and not 5? I believe 5 stars is a rating of the best, hassle-free, easy-to-use items. Straight out of the box. Life changes well. They're awesome, but they're not the best. Are they worth buying? Of course! Just think about the price you paid and what a great deal it really is. A good starter kit, better to use as extra entertainment on a trip. You will not be disappointed.
