This is such cool technology! I didn't know it existed until a friend told me about it. Great for old history or art books, museums, learning a new language (or two) or just having fun. We are home schooled so I got it to help my kids with hands-on study and they can send letters in Japanese to their pen pal in Japan. It can work with barcodes, bank fonts and over 200 languages. It is very easy to use via Bluetooth and WiFi. I looked on YouTube and found a video on how to use it. Seems to work best on white paper with black writing. 1. Connect to a USB charger to charge. 2- Download the WorldPenScanX app from the Apple iTunes Store or Google Play Store. 3- Connect to your smartphone or iPad via Bluetooth. 4- Align and scan the text as if highlighting it. After that, it will appear on your smartphone and you can read it, edit it, etc. You can switch from another language to English or from English to another language. It also works with computers (Windows and Mac). It's lightweight and stays charged for hours. For those traveling abroad for business or family, this is ideal for maps, menus, hotel flyers, driving directions and other items that may not be in English.
