Review on Sennheiser HD 4.50 BTNC Bluetooth Wireless Headphones Featuring Active Noise Cancellation in Black and Silver by Franklin Richardson

Sennheiser always delivers

I like Sennheiser. I've always had good experiences with their products since I bought my first "real" quality headphones, the PC151 for my computer, 15 years ago. But this was the first time I used their bluetooth headphones and also the time I used their ANC. I take the train to and from work every day and basically need a pair of BT headphones that will block out the noise from both the train and the people around me. They do it and then some. Despite what others may say, these headphones completely block out all train noise and let me enjoy my commute to work in peace. The audio quality is great considering my current phone doesn't support aptX and I can't complain about the comfort or fit. Maybe I just have small ears? Regardless, this is a great product. I've used Bose and Sony models, they're also very high quality, but I really like these headphones. I was surprised by the battery life. Comes from a set of Sony BT headphones without ANC. They last a month or two between charges. I was expecting the battery life to suffer, but I managed to get through 3 weeks before hearing a low battery message by using it 4-5 days a week for 1-2 hours a day. You really can't complain about such a battery life. However, ANC is not perfect. I still hear some noise, but when music is playing it's not a problem. Deducting a star is not enough for me. And even without music, the train is absolutely silent. I hear a "click" or "pop" when the ANC is triggered, then everything is quiet. If you are looking for high quality noise canceling headphones and don't want to pay $350-400, this is your best choice. .
