I consider myself quite a techie as I have been in IT for 27 years and have learned that technology and patience go hand in hand. But I was still a little frustrated during setup. It required restarting the iPhone after installing the Wear OS app and factory resetting the watch, a brand new watch btw just so the app could see the watch. After that, the watch's performance was terrible for about 2 hours while updates were being downloaded and installed on the watch. This can happen automatically, but I've run about 8 updates from the watch myself. I suspect that this is where most of the negative reviewers have given up. Don't give up and give it a try and you'll be rewarded with decent working hours when it's all done. However, don't expect high performance. For example, staring at a blank screen takes the watch a second to wake up when you turn your wrist toward your face. Screen response is decent, sometimes with a "Did he swipe the screen?" feeling Battery suits me as I'm not a heavy user and end the day at around 20% and occasionally go into sleep mode. I suspect setup could be a little smoother with an Android phone, and I realize there are some extra features I'm missing when connected to an iPhone. This is my first smartwatch and at $149 I'm not complaining as I can live with the known issues with Android watches. Bet it's not for those who get easily frustrated, you'll likely turn it down. The silver with the brown stripe is more of a matte gray than silver, but I still like it and looks good with the regular metal link stripe. A cute watch that brought me some extras.
