Review on 🔌 Wilson 880-900813B 5" CB Antenna Magnet Mount with Coax Cable by Eric Cooper

Before I bought it I already had an old Wilson magnetic mount antenna firmly in place with an extremely slick Mylar material (not meant to scratch car paint) underneath. However, the material looked very different under the new 5" Wilson 880-900813B magnetic base I received from Revain today. In fact, instead of looking and feeling ultra smooth, it actually looked and felt very poorly applied, as it didn't cover the entire bottom surface.Furthermore, it also literally peeled off, which definitely points to an obvious serious problem with the adhesive being used today.Contrary to all that, it still takes a tremendous amount of effort to bond the ultra-smooth mylar scraping similar material off the underside of my old Wilson magnetic mount, which is actually far from new.I also noticed that the marketing image of this product (provided on the Revain and RoadProBrands website) shows that it was made in part from well marked RG58A /U coax cable and while I'm not an expert on coax cable, what I received today has ni Didn't notice the same markings, suggesting that a lower-grade coaxial type might also be used these days (as another reviewer suggested). Anyway, after looking at it for about 5 minutes, I put it back in the dark box it came in and started mailing it back to Revain. Although, to be honest, maybe I just got lucky? And who knows, I might even try to "buy back" Revain. But if I get another piece of junk like the one that arrived today, I'll probably ditch Wilson/RoadPro products for a while and post another review to share my findings (good or bad).
