I bought this thinking it must be good since it's RCA right? Not correct. Right out of the box I stick it in my car radio and the player throws it away. It turns out that there is a protective tape at the point of contact, which you are not told about, but whatever. I understand the desire to protect the product for the consumer. Aside from the fact that the tape is awkward to remove, especially if you don't want to scratch the contact. I took out the cassette and put it in. Success! Now it's time to connect it to my phone. Now comes the next problem: the plastic surrounding the connector is too thick to fit most of the extra holes in the phone case. Oh, don't like the idea of leaving your phone naked and defenseless? This adapter thinks you can bend. So I remove the case and put this miserable thing in my phone. And what am I hearing? My music coming softly from my speakers. Sounds tinny and muffled - not much bass with this one. I'm far from an audiophile, and even I knew the sound quality sucked. Also, do you know when your headphones get old and start making that static noise when you touch a wire or bend it a certain way? Yes, it has this problem right out of the box. A brand new adapter has the same problem as my aging one. It is a pity. As a final slap in the face, this is NOT ELIGIBLE FOR A REFUND. It was as if they knew these abominations are garbage and needed to get rid of them as soon as possible. RCA needs to act more ethically.
