Refurbished runs MUCH hotter than non-refurbished unit

Bought without knowing it was refurbished. In my house, this is unit #5, which periodically shuts down due to heating issues. The unrenovated units were fantastic! Be careful when buying refurbished equipment. They aren't much cheaper and may have underlying issues that haven't been addressed. In my case it is an overheating problem with this device.
