I have 2 dogs who love to lie on the back of my new sofa, rumpling the pillows and barking at everyone at the window. This kept my dogs off the couch for about 2 months. We loved it and I was amazed at how great it worked. We tried the zipper but it kept falling off the couch or they would have bypassed it. Unfortunately, my lab decided that her need to terrorize the postman outweighed her fear of the blanket. My other dog is still afraid of it and would push him away forever. I would highly recommend this as it works better than anything else we have tried.
