Flimsy and unsafe good for me

I can not justly give this product even one star. The only thing it has going for it is the attractive style and colors. I’ve seen other negative reviews and seen positive reviews. I always like to give the benefit of the doubt. I purchased it. I wasted/lost $50. The plastics literally feel like they were made for the dollar tree. (No offense. I love the dollar tree but this needs to support a live animal). The shelves don’t grip the wires securely. The wires are so easy to bend. A chewing hamster with a mind to get out of a cage can and will. (I believe I read some customers said theirs had). The tubes are too heavy for the wire frame and come apart too easily. The ladders have huge gaps between each rung that is unsafe for tiny hamster feet. The doors are easily pushed open with very little force. Yes even a hamster could do it. Sure, one may be able to fix the bent wires and insecure doors but paying $50 should give you a more quality habitat. I put it together and knew instantly I’d not risk my child’s hamster’s safety. Buyer please be aware it is NOT free return shipping. Had I known this before purchasing I’d not have risked it. I learned my lesson and want you who are thinking about buying to realize what you are getting into. Yes the colors are neat. I’ll probably tape the tunnels and use as a hot wheel tunnel system. The base will be used for science projects for my child. The wire enclosure and shelves probably will be used for my child’s shopkins and other tiny toys. Or maybe cut the wires (Won’t be hard) to create Christmas ornaments for the tree (the wires are so easy to bend and mold) when that time of year comes around again. Always find a positive in the negative. 😀

  • The hamster home provides ample space for your furry friend to roam and explore
Cons
  • The multileveled structure of the home may make it harder for hamsters to find their food and water
