This is a universal docking station that does not require the alternate DisplayPort functionality that only newer computers *possibly* have. Visit the Wavlink website for more information. The model of this device is: WL-UG39DK3. This works with 1 video output in 2K or 2 video outputs in normal HD. Has 1 GB of video memory. I love that this docking station has separate USB audio jacks for analog out and microphone in. Some docking stations only offer a 4-pin audio jack (TRRS). You may need a Y-adapter to split audio input and output to separate devices. If you have a boom mic with a single TRRS connector, you will need an adapter to work with this model. I am using a single 1920x1020 monitor with embedded audio on the HDMI port on this unit as part of a dual extended display setup. The main monitor, also 1920 x 1020, is located on the laptop's built-in HDMI output. I also use a USB v2 microphone and Pebble V3 computer speakers connected and connected via USBv3. I connected the speakers via the dock's 3.5mm audio out, which worked fine, and am now using them as a USB audio device. I use them for general computer sound and a microphone and speakers for ham radio detection software. I don't use this for gaming of any kind, but I do run many windows with RF spectrum graphics. I pre-downloaded the latest DisplayLink drivers for Windows 10 Pro on an HP Core i5-8265u laptop. The docking station's USB Type-A male connector is extended with a USBV3 SS extension cable rated at 6 feet that connects to a 20-foot USBV3.1 Gen 1 (20-foot) powered cable. SuperSpeed 5 Gbps or SS) 8-port hub, which in turn connects to a USB Type-A SS V3.1 Gen1 port on a remote laptop located in an adjacent equipment room. The entire 2018 harvest. No problem. Over 30 feet in total. You can unplug the USB connector from the docking station and it will recover normally. I would buy this again. When purchasing one of these docks, you should pay attention to the DisplayLink chipset used in each product and see the feature table on the DisplayLink website to see what's really possible. Many of these docking products listed at Revain use a simpler version of the chip and lack many of their features. There are key differences in the chipset line, in this case different variants of the 3000 series chip line. This docking station uses a high-end 3000 series chip, the DL-3900. For 4K you need a higher quality chipset. The HDMI monitor I connected to the HDMI port on this dock has USB audio speakers that play HDMI audio that worked as speakers and displayed (USB audio codec).
