I have yet to put a proper prop in my car but I attached a fire extinguisher to check for play or rattle that most people complain about. I feel very little or no movement in the needle and it feels very tight. A little tighter and it would be difficult to pull it out easily in an emergency. I would say this product is as good if not the same as others that cost twice as much. At the moment I don't see any potential for improvement. If it wears out over time and starts to rattle I'll update my rating but so far there's no reason why it doesn't deserve 5 stars. It works and works as described and doesn't have the sloppy fit that others have complained about with similar products.
