Works great and easy to install

This is a great addition to my gun cabinet and really improves my ability to see inside. In hindsight, I should have gotten a set of six instead of a set of four just to give me top shelf light. The motion activation feature is very neat and worth every penny. Lights up almost immediately when the door is opened. As you can see from the second photo, it's small and unobtrusive, but works very well. Installation was pretty easy and straightforward after a little thought about where you want to place the light and cable routing. Also keep an eye on the door lock bolts/bars to make sure they don't hit the light bars or the motion sensor and cables aren't pinched by the door hinges. To top it off I've tucked the cables between the carpeted panels and it looks very neat and professional. Since my safe has an internal power connection, plugging it into the wall was a must. My only complaint, pretty snotty actually, was that the cable from the power supply to the motion sensor was too short for my oversized safe. I suspect if you had to run the power cord through the back/side of your safe you wouldn't have too much room for efficient cord management either. I fixed mine by splicing about 3 feet of lightweight power cord to add to the overall length. It would be nice if Torchstar offered a long power cord extension (4-6 feet) just for this purpose. Overall I am very happy with my purchase and would recommend it to anyone looking to add a lighting kit.
