UPDATED REVIEW After speaking to customer service I have resolved many issues and raised this rating from 3 to 4 stars. I still feel like there are some issues but basically I got it for $55 so my wife and I are very happy with our purchase. We had a bad battery in the beginning, so the second one works better. When you're done using it, you MUST remove it from the background of your phone or it will continue reading and drain your battery. - Bluetooth is on so readings can't be further than the room. This also means that only 1 phone can be connected to it at a time. It's a failure, but not enough to spoil the impression. I just hate taking my phone into the nursery or wherever I go after the alarm goes off. At 3 a.m., no one wants to think about their kid and the phone. My suggestion for those who are getting "fake" alarms is to adjust the settings of the various alarms or turn off any of the alarms you don't want to know about (either rollover, temperature range, temperature drop, or respiration). You must choose what works for YOU and YOUR CHILD. This prevented us from getting 60 alerts in one night. My wife and I both agreed that there should be a pause (for 5-10 minutes?) or an on/off button on the sensor when either of us is with them instead of leaving. for use after each changeover or feeding, which can be up to 8-10 times with us. The only problem is remembering to turn it back on. The sensor is NOT waterproof. So if you change your baby's diaper and they pee on the sensor in your tired bowel movement, it CAN break as it's only waterproof. maybe $80), but my wife and I really enjoyed our baby's "second look." So I guess I take my words back. We didn't have it with our first child and I think I would have bought it anyway so we had one less thing to think about before we went to sleep. A little rest costs money. If you don't care about your baby and your phone, I think this would be a great gift for new parents-to-be. I still think it's a great value buy over an owl. My wife refused to pay this price and was very happy with this alternative. INITIAL REVIEW In theory this is a great product, but here are the issues I've encountered: - I can't connect more than one phone to the device. My wife and I both want this feature to work on our phones because we travel for work from time to time (not now but once COVID is over) but can only sync 1 device. - Battery after ONE night of use was 60%. That means each battery lasts for 2 or even 3 nights. So I need to buy a lot of CR 2032 3V batteries. The only way to prevent the battery from discharging during the day is to open the case and disconnect the battery. EVERY TIME. WHY is there no switch?! - I keep getting notified that it's connecting/disconnecting even if I "turn off" it as instructed. I like that. It works out. Position, respiration and temperature were relatively accurate. So if they can fix the problems I mentioned earlier, HOME RUNS is it. Great price compared to Sovun but I think you get what you pay for.
