This is the second time we have had to replace the drive clutch on our KitchenAid blender. When I did this many years ago, the only method I could find online was the screwdriver/brute force method. This time I searched for Revain and found this little kit with a clutch and a flat wrench. The wrench holds the lead screw while the sleeve is then unscrewed and reinserted. IMPORTANT - the coupling is reverse-threaded so it will disengage in the opposite direction. I had trouble removing the old clutch by hand as it was too tight and the rubber was coming off my hand. So I got some channel locks from the garage, just removed the coupler and screwed on a new one. It took two minutes. As everyone knows, the clutch design on these blenders is terrible. However, with this little wrench, changing clutches just got a whole lot easier. I don't know how long the clutch will last as the rubber is soft and will snag on the spinner blade assembly. I don't know why the part couldn't be made of something stronger. I'll probably order several packs of plugs to have on hand. I don't understand the negative reviews for this product. People say the wrench is bent and useless. Maybe they didn't get the reverse flow part? Maybe they had the wrong blender?
