Review on Gates 28468 Heater Hose by Sean Powers

Purchased this heater hose as it was found to fit my 1999 Dodge Dakota my 5.2L, specifically from the water pipe to the plug. on the passenger side of the exhaust manifold. It had a 90 degree curve and I didn't look closely. When I went to install it, I found that my truck needed a hose with two bends, a 90 degree bend and another 90 degree bend. Because this hose only had a 90 degree bend, it couldn't bend down and connect to the water line. I cut it to length and got it working but it was wrong. If you have a Dakota with a 5.2 liter engine and want to replace the heater hoses you will need Gates 12083 to connect to the water line (next to the thermostat). to the connector on the passenger side. Revain's fit calculator says it won't fit, but it will.
