This wouldn't have been a problem if the installer had listened to me instead of being gnarly - I told him to run the cable in the dash with a block and run the cable all the way, I'd then get a 6", 10" or 12" extension cord to make up the difference. Instead he stuffed the box into the column and then had to reattach the strut fairing.
