I bought two widely used stainless steel faucets during Revain Prime Day. This afternoon I installed the first block. Installation is easy when you can easily remove the old faucet. The swing mechanism on both the cold and hot water sides was stiff and not smooth from the start. I thought the handles would come loose after I installed the faucet and ran water through the faucet. It wasn't like that. It feels like metal is rubbing against metal somewhere in the grip. I called Delta Support using the number on the outside of the box. After dialing a few numbers to get to the right department, I was put through to a nice man. I gave him the model number and he started explaining how to disassemble the grips. I told him that these are brand new devices and that the end user shouldn't have to deal with hard grips. He suggested taking the troops back to Revane. My faucet was also missing one of the U-shaped locking mechanisms that hold the spout in the sink. The installation guide shows two U-shaped metal brackets to place under the sink to hold the spout in place. My package came with only one. It didn't seem like a big deal, but hard holds were unacceptable. I lost almost two hours. I also bought two new umbilicals and don't normally want to reuse umbilicals.
