Bought this to use as a beach bag. I wanted a lightweight, washable, zippered canvas bag with an inside pocket that I could fit all my stuff in without being too bulky. I ordered the color "taupe" and I think it looks more like classic gray than taupe. I think it looks a little bigger in the photos than it really is. Pros: - Handles plus adjustable shoulder strap - Smaller profile - Fits everything I need for a day at the beach including: my wallet, sunglasses, water bottle, book/magazine, bottle of sunscreen, small pouch (for hand sanitizer) hands, hair ties , plasters, bottle opener, etc.) and a Turkish towel that can be rolled into a small roll. If I use a large fluffy traditional beach towel there is less room - it sticks out at the top so I have to leave it open. Water bottle - inner pocket is quite small, has no zipper or snap - it is unlined - if you have a large, fluffy beach towel, you won't be able to fold it compact enough to close your bag; it must be sticking out from the top - the label says to hand wash and hang dry, do not tumble dry. I love washing my beach bag at the end of the season to wash off all the sunscreen, sweat and dirt - I'll probably try washing it on a gentle cycle and hanging to dry, see how it holds up and edit to check accordingly. Overall: It's decent quality for a $20 canvas bag and does the job, going with all my beach gear without looking like a flashy 'beach bag'. I could use it to carry other things with me all year round. It would have earned 5 stars if it had had a few more pockets - maybe one zipped outside and another larger one inside to put my wallet or sunscreen. - and if it were placed so that I could turn it inside out to shake out the sand. But for $20 it's good. We'll see how it holds up in the wash.
